Rome

Roma - Only 50 km distant, "The Eternal City", requires many days to visit all the famous art treasures for wich is world-wide reputed. But, do not forget, Rome is also shopping and fun. Easy to reach from i Castagni by train, by car or by bus.
Viterbo

Viterbo - Only 20 km distant, easy to reach by train, by car or by bus. It is famous for the outstanding Pope Palace, the medieval quarter of San Pellegrino, the Renaissance palace of Lante family.
Caprarola

Lago di Vico

Further to the collapse of Vicano volcano, a cratereal basin was filled with water-sources across the centuries, thus giving rise to the lake. Thanks to the oceanic climate, large extensions of centuries-old beech- and Turkey oak-woods have developed. Approximately 1000 hectares are occupied by hazel groves and by centuries-old chestnut woods.
Capranica
