I CASTAGNI is an ideal place for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, peacefulness, beauty of nature and art treasures.

 

This Farm Residence is located in the charming and pleasant medieval town of Capranica, Province of Viterbo, 55 KMS ( 35 miles ) north of Rome.

   

Here the air flows pure and clean through these huge, old chestnuts trees ( Castagni ) creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere.

 

You will stay in a 19th century Farm House, perfect example of Italian rural architecture, today renovated and furnished with real antiques.

 

Surrounded by two hectares ( five acres ) of land covered with olive trees, fruit trees and chestnuts.

 

You will find the ancient remains of Etruscans and Romans, that once inhabited these areas, today named "Tuscia".

 

The House today is completely renovated, thus offering modern conveniences and security, while preserving its original character and identity.

 

The surrounding natural scenery is full of roses, laurels and lavenders.

 

At I CASTAGNI you will admire the colors and feel the smells of "THE GOOD OLD TIME"!

 

Close by there are stunning natural and artistic sites (nearby sites).

Our guests can enjoy the swimming - pool, can walk through the woods, ride a bicycle or a horse. Nearby Vico Lake is much sought for sailing and wind-surfing.

 

The breakfast room has wide windows, overlooking green fields, olive trees and the medieval bell towers of the ancient town of Capranica.
